Dear Families,

 

Welcome to Second Grade! My name is Courtney Delpriora and I am your child’s Second Grade teacher.  I am excited to be working with you and your child this year!

As we enter a new school year, let us learn and work together with patience, confidence, and trust to build a wonderful school year! Second Grade is an important year for your child to advance academically and socially. Your child will accomplish a great deal by the end of the year!

In the beginning of the year, we will focus on following directions to promote learning and appropriate behavior, making good choices, and getting to know our classmates.  Together we will build a respectful, cooperative and caring classroom.  

I am looking forward to working with all of you this year!

Water Bottles: Please send your child to school with a water bottle, daily.

Classroom Snack: Each day, please provide your child with a "small healthy snack” to eat during our snack time.  It must be a PEANUT/NUT FREE snack. The snack should be something your child can eat and clean up on their own, within 10-15 minutes. 

 

 

Supply Donations: We will always appreciate the following donations:

 

Hand Wipes (Wet Ones)

tissues

Post-its

pencils

erasers

glue sticks

Sidewalk Chalk

Class Directory : A sign up for the class directory will be forthcoming.  

Birthdays: No food from home is permitted for birthday

celebrations.  You may send in nonfood items for your child to hand out to the other students.  

 

Ways your child can celebrate:

 

• We will all sing to your child!
• Share something about themselves or bring in a special object from home to share!
• Read a favorite book to the class!
• Show us a (safe) special talent!

 

                -If you choose to invite students from the class for a birthday celebration, please refer to the Class Directory.  Digital invitations are preferred.  

Class Dojo                          Please see the sign up information that was sent 

                                            home for Class Dojo.  I will be using this throughout the year as a communication tool for classroom          

                                             announcements and reminders.
