Mrs. Delpriora's Class
September 9, 2024
Dear Families,
Welcome to First Grade! My name is Courtney Delpriora and I am your child’s First Grade teacher at Greenville School. I am looking forward to building a positive relationship with you and your child this year!
First Grade is an important year for your child to advance academically and socially. Your child will accomplish a great deal by the end of the year!
In the beginning of the year, we will focus on classroom rules and routines, making good choices, proper hygiene, and getting to know our new classmates.
Together we will build a strong classroom community with a focus on creating a safe learning environment through kindness, respect, and a sense of belonging.
If you have any concerns or questions during the school year, please contact me.
(732) 202-1745 ext. 5104
I hope to see you on Back-to-School Night!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Delpriora
Important Information
Water Bottles: Please send your child with a water bottle daily. It is
important that your child bring a water bottle to school
each day as opposed to having to make trips to the
water fountain.
Classroom Snack: Please provide your child with a small healthy snack each day to eat during our “Classroom Snack Time”. It must be a PEANUT/NUT FREE and something your child can eat and clean up on their own within 10 minutes.
Homework: Homework is optional. There is a math page that
accompanies each lesson. This page will come home
in their Greenville folder. The Higher Order Thinking
problem is not required. If your child is having
difficulty with any of the problems, please circle
the problem so that I am aware they need help
with this skill. Homework will be further explained
at Back to School Night.
Green Folders: Inside your child’s backpack will be a green folder
provided by the PTO. This folder will be sent home
daily, with important notes, completed work, and/or assignments. Please review the contents of the folder
each night and remove items that do not need to be
returned to school.
Clever Badge: Each student will have a Clever Badge taped to their
Green Folder. Please use this to connect to the Clever App which will allow you and your child access to important Apps we will be using this year.
Toys: As per school policy, toys from home are not
permitted.
Important Information
Birthdays:
NO FOOD from home is permitted at birthday celebrations.
If you choose, your child may bring in small favors to hand out to the class or share something for a “Show and Tell”.
The favors must be safe, school appropriate, and fit in a child’s backpack. Summer birthdays will be celebrated towards the end of the year.
Supply Donations: We will always appreciate the following donations:
